WHY THE DETAILS MATTER

Different calls. Different decisions.

01

“Colour” is not one appointment type.

A root touch-up, highlights and a correction may need different consultation and timing rules.

02

A price depends on the service chosen.

Explain your approved menu and conditions; leave an unfamiliar colour request for a stylist.

03

A free slot may not fit the whole service.

Processing time, finishing time and stylist availability all matter before a booking can be confirmed.

The conversation

Caller

“Do you do root colour and a cut? How much is it, and can I come tomorrow?”

AI receptionist

“Root touch-ups start at $85 and cuts at $45 on our menu. Final pricing depends on the consultation. Is this a touch-up, and do you have a stylist preference?”

Caller

“Yes, roots only. Maya if she’s free, after three.”

Close by confirming contact details and explaining that staff will review the request. This is an editorial example, not a customer recording. Any service prices are fictional business-menu examples, not CallMinded plan prices.

Decisions your team keeps

Availability remains unconfirmed without a working scheduling connection. Staff assess complex colour requests and service duration.

THE NEXT SYSTEM IN YOUR WORKFLOW

The request today. Connected booking next.

A salon connection must match the exact service, stylist, processing time and finishing time. A general calendar slot alone is not enough.

CRM and scheduling connections are planned. Tell us the app you use so we can assess the connection, required fields and approval rules.

FICTIONAL FUTURE EXAMPLE · NOT A LIVE BOOKING

What a successful booking could look like

The caller agrees to an available option. The connected system saves it successfully. Only then does the receptionist give a confirmation.

If the time becomes unavailable, the appointment cannot be saved or approval is needed, keep the request for staff review and tell the caller it is unconfirmed.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you get started.

Can it answer questions about services and cost?

Yes, from your approved menu and price conditions. If a caller asks for a service whose price depends on a consultation, it should explain that and collect a consultation request.

What happens when someone asks “Can I come tomorrow?”

Collect the service, stylist preference and requested window. Staff confirm availability today; live slot checks and confirmed bookings are planned.

Can colour corrections require a consultation first?

Yes. Make that an explicit business rule so the call follows the consultation path rather than promising a full colour appointment.
