STEP 1
Before you call
Use the test number and instructions provided for your workspace once the line is ready. Check the active business settings. Use fictional caller details or your own contact details, not another person’s private information.
STEP 2
Call one: ask a normal customer question
Ask about one service and its price, then request a callback. Listen for the correct business name, a useful answer and a clear next step. Check that the saved request matches what you said.
STEP 3
Call two: give details, then change one
Mention the service, city and preferred day together. Change the day or callback number later. The receptionist should keep the other details and save the correction.
STEP 4
Call three: ask for something it cannot confirm
Ask about an unlisted service, a guaranteed appointment or a discount you have not approved. A good answer explains the limit and offers a useful next step instead of inventing an answer.
STEP 5
Then try real-world conditions
Repeat a short call on speakerphone, with ordinary background noise, and in each enabled language. Try a name or place that needs spelling. Change one condition at a time so a problem is easier to reproduce.
STEP 6
Before forwarding customer calls
Test the actual business number and its fallback with your CallMinded contact. A direct call to the test line does not prove forwarding works. Keep reviewing calls after activation; three good tests do not prove every situation is covered.
FICTIONAL EXAMPLE · Vancouver, British Columbia · cleaning
A common problem, a clearer setup.
A friendly conversation still leaves the owner with the wrong preferred date.
Too vague
“The voice sounded good, so the test passed.”
More useful
“Check the greeting, service answer, corrected date, confirmed callback number and saved next step. The call passes only when the handoff is useful too.”
Use this as a starting point. It does not change your saved settings.
YOUR NEXT TEST CALL
Say this. Then check what happened.
“I need a regular clean in Vancouver on Wednesday. Sorry, make that Friday. Can your team call me back?”
What a useful result looks like
- The saved request says Friday.
- The location and type of cleaning are correct.
- The callback number and next step are clear.
If it does not work as expected
For a wrong price, clarify the price entry. For a missing fact, add the approved answer. For audio problems, repeated greetings or a missing request, record the call time and contact support. More text in your settings will not fix every technical issue.
Check the saved request in your lead inbox as well as what you heard. Review recordings or transcripts only if they are enabled for your account.
Put one improvement into practice.
