There is no useful single price without your call volume
An advertised monthly price is only one part of the comparison. Ask for a written quote that states the currency, included usage, billing unit and what happens beyond the allowance. Compare quotes for the same month of calls.
This guide does not publish competitor price estimates. Use each supplier’s current quote rather than an undated “from” price or an industry average that may not match your requirements.

Copy these rows into your purchasing notes. Keep taxes separate until you know which apply. If a charge is unknown, leave it marked unknown rather than counting it as zero.
| Item | What to record |
|---|---|
| Base subscription | Monthly amount, currency, contract length and cancellation terms |
| Included usage | Minutes or calls; whether ring, hold, wrap-up and transferred time count |
| Overages | Rate, rounding per call, tiers, cap and whether service stops instead |
| Phone costs | Number rental, forwarded call legs and any destination charges |
| Setup | One-time configuration, training, migration or onboarding charges |
| Add-ons | Recordings, transcripts, languages, integrations or extra locations |
| Your team’s work | Time reviewing requests, correcting errors and returning calls |
| Trial end | What pauses, what continues, any automatic charges and how to revert forwarding |
Calculate a normal month and a busy month
For a plan billed by minute: monthly estimate = base fee + billable excess minutes × excess-minute rate + phone charges + selected add-ons. Add one-time setup separately to the first month. This formula applies only if the supplier actually permits overages; a hard cap may stop service instead.
Illustrative calculation, not an offer: 120 calls × 2.5 billed minutes = 300 minutes. A hypothetical USD 200 plan including 200 minutes with USD 1 per extra minute would be USD 300 before taxes, phone charges and add-ons. At 180 calls of the same length, it would be USD 450. Replace every input with your quote and measure actual billed duration.
If a supplier rounds each call up, calculate rounded minutes call by call. Rounding an entire month once can understate the bill. Do not assume a minute of call duration equals a minute of AI conversation on every platform.
Ask your phone provider about forwarding charges
Keeping your number does not necessarily make forwarding free. Your phone provider may charge for an outbound forwarded leg or a destination outside your plan. Ask specifically about your current plan and the number you will forward to. Dialpad, for example, documents possible outbound usage charges for external IVR routing.

Understand CallMinded’s trial before comparing paid plans
CallMinded offers a 14-day free trial with 50 AI conversation minutes, no credit card required and guided setup included. The trial begins when the receptionist is ready to receive calls, not on signup.
The trial allowance ends when the time or included minutes run out, whichever happens first. AI answering pauses; the trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription or generate overage charges. A separate technical or cost safeguard can stop service earlier during controlled rollout. Agree on fallback before forwarding real customer calls.
Paid subscriptions are not currently active. Read the pricing page for the current terms rather than treating a planned monthly price as an available paid service.

Measure useful requests as well as minutes
Track how many requests contain a usable callback number, reason for calling and appropriate next step. Divide the full monthly cost by useful requests to understand the cost per actionable enquiry.
That measure is not revenue or profit. Your team still needs to respond, qualify the enquiry and record the outcome. Compare service quality alongside price so a cheaper minute does not hide missing details or extra follow-up work.
